For the most part, showing up to an invent without an invitation is considered tacky.  However, that idea quickly changes when that uninvited guest is a well-known celebrity.  Over the last several year, it has become increasingly popular for celebrities to show up to parties and weddings behind held by people they have absolutely no personal connection with.  Most times, these celebrity sightings are met with cheerful reactions by unsuspecting guests who can’t believe they’re in the presence of someone they’re used to only seeing on TV. Sometimes, these celebrities even show up to events bearing gifts and kind words. Here are 10 celebrities known to be party crashers.

10.  Gerard Butler

Gerard Butler is well-known for his role in films such as 300, Law Abiding Citizen, and P.S. I Love You.  However, to a few lucky fans, Butler will always be known as the guy who crashed their bachelorette party.  In 2014, Butler welcomed himself onto a boat that was being used for a bachelorette party.  Party goers were surprised to see the star standing in front of them; however, they did not allow their state of shock to stop them from inviting Butler to join in on the festivities.

9. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez

In 2011, Justin Bieber and his then girlfriend, Selena Gomez, stunned a newlywed couple when he appeared at their wedding reception after his song playing in the distance. In an interview after the incident, Bieber explained that he simply couldn’t resist a good party stating: “We heard a party so we decided to just come, so let’s party.”

8. Serena Williams

Serena Williams is one of the most recognizable athletes in the world.  With her level of fame, even some of her biggest fans have only seen her on TV.  However, that quickly changed for a young couple when Williams showed up at their wedding.  Apparently, Williams had been strolling on the beach when she saw the couple was tying the knot.  Instead of ignoring the ceremony, Williams decided to invite herself to join in on the celebration.

7. Beyonce and Kelly Rowland

Beyonce is arguably the most well-known musical artist of her generation.  She has won countless awards, released numerous award-winning albums, and is married to the self-proclaimed “best rapper alive.” With her track record of greatness, Beyonce has amassed millions of extremely dedicated fans who feel a personal connection to the star.  In 2014, Beyonce was able to make a dream come true for two of her fans when she, and fellow former Destiny’s Child member, Kelly Rowland, popped up on them at a karaoke Bar in Miami.

6. Harry Styles

Harry Styles, member of the well-known boy band, One Direction, decided to join in on a night of fun with strangers while partying at a night club in Leeds.  According to reports, Styles joined a group of college students who were out for the night, and even posed for a quick photo.

5. Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is well-known for sharing a special relationship with her fans.  That relationship became even more apparent in 2014 when Swift crashed a bridal shower in Columbus, Ohio.  Swift, who had never been to a bridal shower, was invited by, Gena Gabrielle, the bride-to-be who wrote a fan letter requesting Swift’s presence.  Gabrielle was overjoyed when Swift, who actually brought a gift, arrived at the event ready to have a good time.

4. Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry

When they aren’t busy working, Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry enjoy nothing more than crashing a good party.  In 2013, the stars decided to show up at a wedding rehearsal in California and mingle with the guests, although they didn’t actually know anyone there.

Kanye West has gained quite the reputation for crashing things. Whether it be parties or acceptance speeches, there always seems to be a chance that Kanye West could show up uninvited.  In 2014, Kanye proved that no event was safe from his wrath when he showed up at a bachelorette party in New Orleans. However, instead of making the event about him, West simply purchased the bride-to be a bottle of wine, and wished her the best with her marriage.
