Zachary McGregor is dead

State police have arrested the suspects in the tragic motorcycle accident which claimed two lives, Zachary J. McGregor from West Sunbury and Caleb A. Kiely from Petrolia. The accident occurred on North Washington Street at around 5:57 pm.

Zachary McGregor, with Caleb Kiely in tow, was driving a Harley-Davidson Street Glide southbound. McGregor, unfortunately, lost control of his motorcycle and it tipped onto its side, sliding into the northbound lanes. A Ram 2500 truck, driven by Jodi Miller, 51, of Emlenton, was involved in the accident at that time.

According to the accident report, Zachary McGregor was pronounced dead on the spot by Emlenton EMS. Jodi Miller was injured but did not need to be hospitalized, according to the official documents.

Social media was flooded with heartfelt condolences for the McGregor, and Kiely families following the tragic news. Kaici McBride shared her memories of Caleb Kiely, who she had known for 15 years. She described him as a wonderful coworker and friend, son and grandson. Her description highlighted his adventurous and vibrant spirit. McBride praised his selflessness and willingness to go the extra mile to help others. She also mentioned his sense of humour, being able to laugh in any situation even if it was not the most appropriate time.

The Eau Claire Fire and Rescue Department and Emlenton Fire and Rescue Department responded immediately to the scene. They blocked off the street, and redirected traffic in order to ensure motorist safety.

McGregor lost control of his motorcycle in the accident. It tipped onto its side. The motorcycle was involved in a tragic accident when it collided with a vehicle.

Zachary James McGregor, 32, was a resident of West Sunbury in Pennsylvania. He was born in Butler, Pennsylvania on February 23, 1991. His parents were Lewis James McGregor Jr., and Marsha Lynne Crichtfield McGregor, who died. Zachary graduated from Karns City High school and worked for Iron Mountain Maintenance Data Center. McGregor Custom Coating was his proud business.

Zachary was an active member of VFW Paul W. Wood Post 7840 and participated in many community events. He was very close to his family and loved spending time with them. He shared a close bond with his two children, Tucker McGregor & Sawyer McGregor. He also enjoyed outdoor activities & hunting with his son & uncles.

Zachary was very interested in genealogy. He loved to research his ancestry. He planned to visit Scotland one day. Zachary will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother and partner.

His father, Lewis James McGregor Jr. and Judy Sankey, his girlfriend Ain Williams, his two children, Tucker McGregor and Sawyer McGregor, Ain’s daughter Kaira Chestnut, his brothers Jeremy (Meagan), David (Lesley), and his maternal grandparents Harold and Mary Oesterling Critchfield, are all survivors. Also, he leaves behind many aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews.
